Housing subsidies, renovation and documentation
Vienna supports different types of housing projects, from subsidised new construction to improvements to existing buildings. The technical documentation depends on the programme. We prepare the relevant energy and building-physics calculations.
Thermal renovation
Insulation to walls and roofs, replacement windows and building services can all affect eligibility. Certain schemes require an energy certificate for the existing building and another for the proposed renovated state. For a subsidised renovation concept, the City of Vienna lists both certificates among the required documents.
New buildings and technical requirements
Subsidised new construction may be subject to specific energy efficiency and building-services requirements. An energy certificate is important, but does not automatically replace other building-physics assessments.
What should be clarified first?
Plans, information about the existing building and a clear description of the intended work are a good starting point. The responsible authority determines the documents required for the specific funding application.
