Home renovation: with or without a certificate?
The province distinguishes between renovation subsidy options with an energy certificate for broader thermal improvements and options without one for certain individual measures. For comprehensive works, the improvement in building energy performance is calculated. Smaller projects may involve different documentation and sometimes energy advice.
Which measures are relevant?
Typical examples include roof or façade insulation, replacement windows and heating upgrades. The existing construction is compared with the proposed improvements to assess the appropriate subsidy path.
Documents and procedure
Building plans, information about the envelope and heating system, and a description of planned works are useful. Check the programme conditions and deadlines before work begins.
